Courses – Both Online and In-house – so where ever you are you can learn

Blindingly Simple are very proud to introduce ‘Course in a Box’ a unique way of distance learning, you can learn to make either an Interlined Curtain with Double Pinch Pleat or a beautiful hand sewn Roman Blind.

In a perfect world I think it is always best to learn a new skill in an in-house setting but sometimes we just don’t have the time to dedicate to this or perhaps we don’t live close enough, also normal everyday life just gets in the way of prevent it happening.  So I am very happy to welcome you into my workroom remotely – hopefully it is like you are with me in the room, the whole course is recorded onto a USB stick all ready for you to learn when you are ready and have the time. Included in the box is everything you need to complete your sample Roman Blind or Interlined Curtain, the only thing you will need to find extra is a sewing machine, measuring tape and a pair of scissors – which is why we have called in Course in a Box!

Blindingly Simple – Curtain, Roman Blind and Cushion Courses

Our courses are aimed at both the beginner who wishes to learn the techniques to produce perfect soft furnishings every time or people who have a dream to follow and start up their own business.

Even if you have no sewing skills or experience we can teach you to make beautiful soft furnishings, please don’t be shy, we can teach you, all we need is your willingness to learn.

On our In house Courses – We only take two or three people at a time on any of our courses so you will always get personal attention at all times.  We try to match people with similar skill levels so you don’t feel intimidated by anyone.

You will make and take home sample curtains and blinds that will be to a professional standard.

Our Advanced Curtain Making course will give you the skills to produce curtains for those awkward odd shaped windows. You can also learn how to produce beautiful Cushions and Lampshades too, all using our one day courses.

All equipment and materials (including fabric) is included in the price. Comprehensive notes on the do’s and dont’s will be provided.

Specialised haberdashery items for projects can be purchased on site.
